Wilford Woodruff's Accidents
When he was three years old, he fell into a big pot
of boiled water and was burned so badly that it took nine months to get better.
At age six he fell from the top of the barn to the
hard ground right on his face.
While
being chased by a bull, Wilford tripped and fell down. The bull jumped
over him and tore into pieces the pumpkin that Wilford had been carrying.
When
he was eight years old, the wagon he was on was wrecked when the horse got
scared, ran down a hill, and overturned the wagon.
At age
twelve he nearly drowned, but Heavenly Father sent a man to save him.
At age
thirteen he almost froze to death.
When he
was fourteen he hit his food with an ax while chopping wood and nearly chopped
of his foot.
When he
was seventeen his horse went crazy, ran down a steep hill, and three him over
his head onto some rocks. Wilford could have been killed but only broke
his leg.
Wilford
was kicked by an ox.
He was
almost smothered to death the day a huge pile of hay fell on him.
