Does anyone have a good idea for picking children to answer questions/and or help during sharing time. We are looking for something besides the popsicle stick method. Thanks! :-)
Our chorister came up with an awesome idea to make a huge gum ball machine on poster board with each child's picture on a gumball. Jr primary has one and sr primary has another. I love it because it helps me put faces and names together as well as being a fun way to pick volunteers. Good luck!

Ask the teachers to select children from their classes. The teachers know who has helped & who hasn't.

Hi! I really want to incorporate asl into several of the songs this year but I have never used sign language. I watched several songs on the church website and I am not sure I can get it down just watching those kids. Has anyone purchased one of the dvds from the church for the 2010 outline. I was wondering if they use the same videos off the church website or if they break it down for you.
As we have a deaf sister in our Ward, we make a point of singing at least one song in the Presentation with BSL. The children love doing it and it helps them to learn the words as the signs are associated with them. Our dear deaf sister loves it so much that it is very worthwhile.

If you are thinking of doing sign language for this year's songs, the distribution center has a DVD of them. The advantage is that you can watch an adult doing the signs and she is easier to follow than the children. However, she is doing ASL, not signing the words as we sing them, so it is a bit harder.
