Heavenly Father and Jesus love me
Love Musical Chairs - Keep the same number of chairs (equal number of children to chairs) always out. Each chair has a picture of something we all love that comes from Heavenly father taped to the back support. You can put several on each chair if you want and let them choose. You play music and when the music stops, they stop and find a chair. Each child shows or tells us what the thing is that they love. The Children's Friend Nov. 1989 "I Have Many Blessings" has pictures.
Love Bouquet - Use digital pictures from January to make hearts with the children's pictures in the middle. Glue pictures in the center of the heart. Tape hearts to a wooden skewer and make a "love bouquet" and put this in a small vase. Fill in with greenery, babies breath, other hearts – whatever. (by Rhonda Wall)
Love Potion - Do this activity to help teach your lesson or just for some extra fun. Use it to teach the children that Heavenly Father and Jesus love us.
Love Wall - More heart cutouts needed. When someone in the room does a loving deed, write it on a heart and put it on the wall. The "good deed doers" take these home after class. (by Rhonda Wall)

Friendship Rings - I did this craft for this lesson and plan on doing it for lesson 13 too. For lesson 6, I used foam hearts. They did not have time to decorate them but they got to choose what color heart and pipe cleaner they wanted and I made the rings. They loved it!! Hobby Lobby and Michael's has packages of foam bugs (butterflies, caterpillars, dragonflies, etc). So I am going to do it again for lesson 13. (Idea by Kristina Kriechel / ga03082008)
I took a picture of each child outside by a tree and placed it in a frame (from Ikea) which said on top "Heavenly Father and Jesus", and on the bottom "Love Me" The frames could be painted or stained. (by Diana Bedgisoff / ga04262009)
I am making a heart necklace out of fun foam and curling ribbon--enough that every one will get one in the end. Each heart will have the words, "My Heavenly Father loves me" written on one side. The other side will have something like "He has blessed me with..." or "He has given me..." We'll talk about briefly about Valentines Day and how Heavenly Father has showered us with blessings to show His love for us. (Marla Monson)

Be Sassy Classy - Amber writes, "It’s Valentine’s a week early in Sunbeams! Here are some simple, yet sweet Heart Badges for your Sunbeams. They go with Enrichment Activity #6. The idea is for the children to color a self portrait inside the heart and then wear proudly" : )
Necklace - Punch holes and string with yarn.

Sunbeam Letter for Lesson 6 by Cynthia Mikesell - The content of this letter comes almost exclusively from the lesson book. I just changed the language a bit so that it reads as if the child is telling the parent what they have done in class that day. (Click here to see all letters written by Cynthia)
