2010 General Conference Packets
by Melanie Day
Hi everyone! Conference is quickly approaching and I decided to get my conference packet up and available for those of you who are eager and anxious to have things ready (I know you're out there!). I also hoped by posting this early, that if you have the ability to translate the packet into another language, that you would share that talent with all of us. I am currently working on getting a Spanish and Portuguese translation but anything else is great! If you'd like to translate the packet, just use text boxes over the English words if they are graphics. Otherwise, just replace the text with the translation and e-mail it back to me and I'll post it once I recreate the graphics to match the language.
First, and foremost, I want to give a HUGE thank you to Arie Van De Graaff of Mormon Cartoonist for graciously drawing the clipart of the prophet and apostles for this booklet. His work has appeared in both The New Era and The Friend. THANK YOU so much Arie!!!!
Secondly, this is a labor of love and is very time consuming. PLEASE do not download these files and then offer them directly from your own personal website(s) or blog(s). However, feel free to link to this page. I appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at

What an awesome packet Melanie! I use these for our Activity Day Girls every conference. They love them. Often families here will attend one or two sessions, when our girls have these packets they are so excited to go to all four sessions and then share what they learn in our General Conference Quiz & Sharing activity. Just wanted to know you're touching lives "down under" as well. Love your work.

I have three kids ages 2,3 and 6. They still aren't into doing these pages at Conference time. So I admit I actually print these up for myself to use. :-* I think I actually pay better attention when I have to write things down and sometimes it can help my kids when explain things to them in my words. Whichever way you use these things, they are fabulous and I have to say THANKS!!!

These are truly amazing. I cannot imagine the time it took to put them together! Actually, considering that I tinker around with computer projects such as this a lot, I CAN imagine the time it took, and I'm that much more grateful. I like the older Primary packet so much, I think I just might fill it out myself!

FYI Another General Conference activity?
I have made Conference Bingo for YEARS!!
For younger children, I find pictures of words that may be said during conference and for older children, I use words. Make the usual bingo board of five squares across and down. Make the middle square free, then fill in the other squares with one word for longer games or two words for shorter games depending on the attention span of the child. THe child and adult has to pay attention to be able to keep track of which squares are able to be filled in. You would be suprised how well this can work! My ADHD son loved playing the game until he was a teenager because it made Conference interesting to him and we would talk about various talks that he had questions about later.
Hope this idea helps soneone!
Edwina

I am printing this off for my primary class of 12 seven year olds! Thank you so much for donating your time and talents to help children (and adults) listen and learn during conference!!!

I am too, and I have a Mac as well. I don't run windows, and opening this on my computer, is all messed up. I'm going to have to recreate it using what's there, and fixing it up. If I'm able to, I'll let you know. I'll probably leave some pages out, to fit our budget. Our Primary is huge...
